"Rekai's Umitober 2023 Compilation: VN Edition" is a collection of my, Rekai's, pieces of Umineko fanfiction posted on my AO3 for Umitober 2023... Except they are now in Visual Novel form! This is a passion project, and my ultimate tribute to Ryukishi07's When They Cry series. 

Each story is tied together by your dear narrator, the Witch of Words, who will present you with a main menu and an overarching story that slowly unfolds as you read each tale.

• "Do I really need to finish Umineko before reading this?"
  

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: I would say yes. Some stories are more comedy focused and/or spoiler-free but I would prefer it if you just finished Umineko first instead. This is written for a reader who knows the culprit's identity and their motive.

• "What engine did you use to make this?"
  

Ren'Py. I tried to recreate the NScripter look without having to make sense of that demonic engine.
